Flavour of Baisakhi and Bhangra Dance in Path Utsav at Odisha capital Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Cloud covered Sunday dragged capital citizens to the stretch of Janpath today on the spot of city’s most popular event the Path Utsav. The Street Fest today had flavour of Baisakhi for which a special bhangra dance show organised in the main stage. In tune with Baisakhi a spcial Punjab dance group Punjabi Cultural Association dominated the main stage with its bhangra dances. At the early hours Ama Kalakar Group performed classical odia songs.
Dil Hai Hindustani 2017 runners up Barnali Hota’s thrilling performance in the main stage glued the music lovers with enthusiasm.
At the activity zone various socio-cultural organisations participated. The leading social organisation Pecuc today organized Internation Slum Children Day which falls on 12th April. It created awareness on child labour and protection of child rights. With this a fancy dance programme held in the pecuc centre. Some of the children who attended from various slums expressed their willingness to get proper education instead of being a child labourer. Bakul Foundation engaged children with its popular story books for long hours.
On the auspices occasion of Baisakhi the Odisha Skating Academy organised Bhangra on wheels with lovely troops. Skaters on wheel with colourful costume created a very charming atmosphere at the master canteen entrance area of Path Utsav.
A group of youngsters made the pedestrians spell bound and hold their walk for few minutes by showing master stroke stunt on the medians of Janpath near the BJP Office. The young mass were seen taking dives and long jumps with a much eye catching height.
Aerobic and jumba dance at stay fit corner remained a crowd pulling event in the Path Utsav today.
With the friendly atmosphere of cloud, the Path Utsav continued upto 10 am instead of 9.30 where thousands of pedestrians participated.
