Exhibition at Aditya Birla Public School, UAIL Campus

Bhubaneswar : With an initiative to embed a scientific, creative and innovative approach in the young minds Intra-School Science, Mathematics & Social Science Exhibition was organised at Aditya Birla Public School, UAIL ( Utal Alumina International Ltd) Campus on 30th June, 2018. Students from Classes-I to X put up an array of exhibits in different venues of the school.
Mr. N. Nagesh, Unit Head & President, UAIL Doraguda, inaugurated the exhibition. Mr. S.K Meher, OAS, Tehasildar, Kashipur Block was the Guest of Honour on this occasion. Other dignitaries were President of Utkalina Ladies Club Mrs. N. Shrilakshmi,Mr. Mazharullah Beig, Joint President, HR-Head Mr. TM Prakash, VP-Technical Mr. Ananth, VP- Process Mr. Vivek Dubey, Admin Head Mr. Rakesh Mishra, VP- Environment Mr. R.N Mishra, DGM CSR Mr. Siba Mohapatra, and other club members, members of the school managing committee were present to witness the exhibition and encouraged the children.
The dignitaries were welcomed by Mr. L.N Dash, Principal and staff of the school to the venues spotted with exhibits. Models in science were Swachh Bharat, Water harvesting, Air Cooler, Vacuum Cleaner, Robotic Hand, Green Hill Town, Wireless City, in social science, Indus Valley Civilization, Thematic Map of India, Dairy Farming, Hydro Power Project, Types of Forests and in Maths, You think, I will say, LCM, Basics of Geometry, Abacus, Secret Sum, Electronic Quiz Board etc.
The dignitaries witnessed each exhibit and applauded the participants for their novel ideas which would make the world a better place to live in.
The enthusiasm and skill imbibed with razor-sharp knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics of the budding learners at school level was commendable.Their research projects clearly indicate that they have the innate talent to become the noted scientists and mathematicians of the future generation.The exhibits included still models, working models and research based projects which were very innovative and relevant to today’s times.
The runners-up in science were Ayashkant Seth and Arman Tiwary, Shreyansh Panda and Suraj Panda. The winners were Devanshu Panda and Sara Sanjay Sakhare.
The projects of Himanshu Sekar Sahu and Nobendra Naik, Neha Pandey and Subhashree Subhakankshi were judged runners-up whereas Smruti Rekha Sarangi and Sanskruti Parida were winners in Mathematics.
Mr. Nagesh declared a special prize for the exhibit of Subhashree Dash and Janvi Pardhi in Mathematics.
The ancient civilisation is revisited in the Social Science department. Different models portraying the rich cultural heritage of India, geographical and natural phenomena, numismatics, monuments and world heritage sites were appreciated by the visitors.
The models of G. Pavani and Khirabdhi Tanaya Rout, Adyashakti Mohapatra and Buli Naik were adjudged runners up and Arpita Dash and D. Prerita were the winners in Social Science.
The Parents, students of nearby schools and UAIL employees came to the school in large number to witness 92 wonderful exhibits displayed in the school campus. The Exhibition was appreciated by one and all.
