Bhubaneswar : Starting from creating awareness prior to landfall of cyclonic storm ‘FANI’ to distributing food to evacuated persons; and helping in restoration works after the natural calamity wreaked havoc in coastal districts in Odisha, the Biju Yuva Vahini (BYV) was there to help people in their adverse circumstances.
ସମ୍ଭାବ୍ୟ ବାତ୍ୟାର ମୁକାବିଲା ପାଇଁ କଟକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବିଜୁ ଯୁବ ବାହିନୀର ସ୍ଵେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରୁଛନ୍ତି । ‘ଫୋନୀ’ର ପ୍ରକୋପରୁ ଜନସାଧାରଣଙ୍କୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ ସ୍ଵେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ସଜାଗ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

Before the landfall of the storm, BYV Volunteers along with the officials of local administration visited each and every house in the vulnerable districts to bring them to multi purpose shelters.

The volunteers were seen distributing dry food items to the evacuated persons at the cyclone shelters. With out caring for their life, the volunteers were alert day and night to rescue the affected people and provided them cooked food.

The volunteers have been extending their helping hand to ODRAF and NDRF teams to clear the roads in the aftermath of the cyclone.
