Bhubaneswar: Nila Madhab Panda will be conferred doctorate by the Governor of Odisha on 28th Feb 2018 at Culture University.
Nila Padhab Panda is the only Odiya Film Maker who had produced and directed over 5 Hindi feature films and many internationally acclaimed documentaries. His last film “Kadvi Hawa”, the first feature film in the world on Global Warming and Climatic Change was another big feather in his cap which won him the National Award in 2017.
Panda was honored with Padmashree in the year 2015.
He will be honored with Doctorate of Literature (Honoris Causa) in recognition of his outstanding work in film making.
“Recognition from your home soil adds extra fragrance to the honor and triples the motivation on our cultural journey” added Panda when contacted about the honor.
