Bhubaneswar: The Smelter Plant at Angul of Navratna CPSE NALCO has been awarded as the ‘Emerging Leader in Operational Excellence’ in terms of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) business excellence criteria, assessed by Independent Directors at the National Quality summit, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry at Bengaluru on November 25.
The award has been conferred to the aluminium major in recognition to its mature practices in Operational Management and for efforts made in the organization for sustained performance in operational and sales parameters as well as for continual thrust for improvements, technology up-gradation & R&D.
Appreciating the concerted efforts of Smelter Team, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, conveyed hearty congratulations to NALCO collective for the accolade.
