Bhubaneswar: Election Commission of India team’s 3-day Odisha visit to review preparations for upcoming general elections begins today. The team will hold separate meetings with the political parties on Feb 14 . After that, the team will hold discussions with Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, DGP and other senior officials.
The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora will also arrive in the state capital on February 14 to review the poll preparations
On Tuesday, the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) conducted an awareness drive at the State Secretariat on the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) during the upcoming general elections.
