Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar the city of temples, is going to host the SOUTH ASIAN YOUTH SUMMIT between 17th – 20th September 2017. Dr. KK Singh, Chairman SOUTH ASIAN YOUTH SUMMIT during his visit to Centurion University informed the event is going to be organized by International Youth Committee (IYC) in collaboration with Government of India, Government of Odisha and few national & international youth forum/network.
The cross-cutting theme of SOUTH ASIAN YOUTH SUMMIT 2017 is “CREATING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: EMPOWERING YOUTH WITH SUSTAINABLE OPPORTUNITIES”.

The SOUTH ASIAN YOUTH SUMMIT 2017 will be a meeting point for representatives of youth networks, governments and civil society organizations designed to identify priorities of action for youth to be dealt with on the international development agenda beyond the SDGs. Dr. Singh, during his visit said that this program is for the young minds and students of the university can take the benefit of it. Commenting about the University he added that education along with vocational training equips a person for a better future and the University is well equipped to provide such educational opportunities within its well-developed campus”. Dr. Singh was meeting with the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Director of Institute of Knowledge Societies to explore the possibility of Centurion University hosting the final day and the valedictory programme of the Summit.
