Dalmia Bharat Cement presents academic excellence award “Pragya” to meritorious students from Eastern India

Kolkata: The World’s greenest cement and country’s largest producer of slag cement, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., a leader in specialty cements space reiterated their commitment towards nation building by conferring “Pragya” Academic Excellence Awards to young meritorious children of their dealers and channel partners across four states of Eastern India. The fourth edition of Pragya awards brought together 35 students along with their families at JW Marriott in Kolkata. These students, who have successfully completed their Class X and XII board exams and scored over 80% marks in their board examination, were recognized and rewarded by Mr. Indrajit Chatterji, Executive Director – Sales and Marketing (East) , Dalmia Cement, creating a momentous occasion for their families who have been an integral part of the Dalmia Bharat Cement’s journey in India. Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, is the fourth largest cement manufacturer in India. It also operates with premium brands like Dalmia Cement, Dalmia DSP Cement, Dalmia FBC Cement and Konark Cement in the eastern market.

Pragya, by Dalmia Bharat Cement is a unique initiative to honour the meritorious students of the channel partners with more than 80% in their 10th or 12th board exams. This year 35 students qualified from Eastern India, 16 students from Odisha, 9 from West Bengal and 5 each from Bihar and Jharkhand respectively. Students were bestowed awards, certificates and prize money of INR 20,000/- and INR 30,000/- respectively for X & XII standards.
The award ceremony was followed by an evening of festivity and cultural programme. The students along with their families joined the celebrations. A quiz show was organized for all the students with mega prizes for finalists. The award event also saw some musical, dance, magic (Mentalist) performances. All the recipients of the award were given individual photographs as a souvenir to remember this evening and act as an impetus for their bright future.
