Cyclothon for “City for All”

Report by Bhaskar Pradhan; Bhubaneswar: Aiming to create sensitization among public City based Voluntary organisation named Centre for Child and Women Development (CCWD) in collaboration with European Commission & ActionAid more than 100 cycle rider marched from Sailashri Vihar Chowk,-Damana- Kalinga Hospital Chowk-Jayadev vihar- Acharya vihar- Nicko Park Chowk to Redcross Bhwan about the important role for transforming Bhubaneswar in to a smart city and also to draw attentions of the govt. to give priority the voices of citizens while creating infrastructures and other facilities for them. Major components of creating consciousness and demand will be construction and maintenance of cycle tracks, improving ecological behaviour such as increasing use of cycle for mobility purpose, improving solid waste management systems, ensuring active participation of people in implementing smart city programs and making the smart city inclusive enabling all to live a quality and smart living . In this Cyclothon Corporator Pritinanda Routray, monalisha sahoo, Programme manager of Action aid Ghasiram panda, Secretary of CCWD sadasiv swain, Child novelist Sarat Kumar Nayak, senior journalist Surendra patra, Er. Dilllip Sahoo. Social Activist Pravas Samantray, Meghana Sahoo, Rabindra Kumar Mohanty, D.Swaruparani, Selvin Bhima Rao attended as guest. The City should be safe and pollution free environment said the Guest.
