Cupertino to Cooperate Odisha in Tourism and Culture Sector

New Delhi: Substantial cooperation will be provided by Cupertino city to Odisha for marketing of Odisha’s tourism products and its cultural potential, said Sabita Vaidyanathan, Mayor of the city in a meeting. Vaidyanathan met Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister, Tourism & Culture in his Secretariat Chamber and both had a discussion on bilateral cooperation between Odisha and Cupertino for such development. Other delegates accompanying the Mayor were also present.

It has been decided to give focus on cultural exchange programme in which more American students will be included in order to have extensive knowledge on Odisha’s culture and heritage. Besides, Cupertino will help bring more foreign tourists to state’s cultural events such as Konark Dance Festival and Rajarani Music Festival. Vaidyanathan was presented with coffee table bags pertaining materials on Odisha’s tourism sector by the Minister Sri Panda.

Ananta N Jena, Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation was present during the discussion. Dr. Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism and Sri Manoranjan Panigrahy, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Culture provided feed backs on their departments to enlighten the Mayor. Srimanta Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of BMC was also present.
