Cuttack: Congress MLA Jogesh Singh loses post after Odisha High Court disqualifies him over submission of fake caste certificate during 2014 general elections. The HC took the decision on the basis of complaints filed by BJP candidate Sahadev Xaxa and another voter Ajay Patel. Jogesh alleged submitted fake certificate.
In 2014, Jogesh was elected on a Congress ticket from Sundargarh Assembly constituency, a reserved seat for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
