Cold wave sweeping Odisha with temperature dipping to 3 to 5 degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave is sweeping many parts of the State with the temperature dipping to 3 to 5 degree Celsius on Wednesday night.

As many as 10 places recorded below 10 degree Celcius. While Phulbani recorded 3.5 degree Celsius, Hirakud 8.1 degree Celsius, Bhawaniptana, Sambalpur, Sundargarh 8.5 degree Celsius, Balangir and Jharsuguda 8.8 degree Celsius, Angul 9 degree Celsius and Koraput 9.6 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature in Bhubaneswar was 11.8 degree Celsius, Sonepur 10.2 degree Celsius, Keonjhar 10.3 degree Celsius, Cuttack and Balasore 11 degree Celsius and, Titilagarh and Chandbali recorded 12 degree Celsius.

Daringbadi in Kandhamal district was the coldest place with mercury dipping to 3 degree Celsius from 8 degree the day before.
