CCWD holds Workshop on Right to play in city

 

Bhubaneswar: We have no play ground in our slum pockets. Most of the time we are playing in road. In where we feels unsecured. We want playground to enjoy our child hood said Bikash Sahu a 15 years boy of science park slum . Other members of different slum pocket they also raise their voice regards to children’s Play. Rapid Urbanisation, population growth and lack of land also hamper to child hood. Need a proper planning for children in community level and role of stake holders is most essential. Play is most important like education said the dignitaries while addressing the workshop organised by City based voluntary organisation named centre for child and women development in collaboration with National foundation for India here at Redcross Bhawan today.

The programme inaugurated by Shri. Bhabani Charan Pattanaik, Freedom Fighter & Former MP, Odisha. Among others Dr. Das Benuhur , Educationist & Noted Child Novelist, Ananta Narayan Jena , Mayer Bhubaneswar ,Smt.Sarojini Bramha Gender Specialist , Smart city LTD,Dr. Nalini Patra , HoD , Journalism & Mass communication, BJB College,Dr. Birupakshya Dixit , Head ,India programme Practical action, Sarat Kumar Nayak, Noted Child Novelist, Odisha , Monalisha sahu, Corporator , ward No-8,Naba kishore Behera , corporator , ward No-38 joined in this programme . The workshop presided by Sadasiv swain, secretary of CCWD. The welcome address covered by Bhaskar Chandra pradhan lastly Debabrata Mahunta proposed a warm vote of thanks to all.
