Bhubaneswar: Budget session of Odisha Assembly ends after speaker adjourns house sine die 3 days ahead of schedule. Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the House after Government Chief Whip Ananta Das made a proposal in this regard.
Das proposed that the House be adjourned sine die as no more businesses were to be conducted. House too constituted two House Committees on the day. While one committee led by MLA Pramila Mallick would conduct probe into the alleged Bargarh farmer Hadu Bagarty suicide case, the other would submit the consensus resolution of the paddy MSP to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during two-day visit to the State on April 15 and 16. 17-member House Committee led by Speaker & comprising members from all parties constituted to meet PM to demand hike in Paddy MSP.
