BJD  launched campaign called ‘Haq Maguchi Odisha’

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) launched a campaign called ‘Haq Maguchi Odisha’ on Monday alleging the Central  Government’s partiality and negligence towards the development of the State. Thousands of members of Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) and Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) took out a rally at Lower PMG here seeking replies from the Centre to a number of questions.

“Even as the mineral and natural resources rich Odisha is playing a crucial role in the development of the country, the Centre has been neglecting the State for political reasons. The Centre has been hoodwinking Odisha people though it is earning huge revenue from the State,” BYJD president Amaresh Patri said. The BJD youth and student wing members lashed out at the Centre over lack of political will to grant Special Category Status to Odisha, failure in creating employment opportunities, failure to solve the Mahanadi water sharing dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh, poor condition of the National Highways in the State, delay in railways projects, poor banking service in the rural areas, not hiking the paddy MSP, Ujjwala irregularities and negligence towards dalits and tribals.
