New Delhi: BJD delegation led by MP Pinaki Mishra calls on Election Commission to solicit the support for early election .
MP Pinaki Mishra’s letter to EC- “In the event any decision is taken by Central Govt to prepone Lok Sabha elections, before they are scheduled to b e held in 2019, we would request you to make adequate preparations to hold elections to Odisha Assembly simultaneously”.
If early elections are called by Centre then our state elections should be held simultaneously with Lok Sabha elections, if there are separate elections then Odisha will have to spend Rs 1000 cr more,which we can ill afford. So I met the CEC in this regard said Pinaki Misra.
