Biju Yuva Vahini donates to Cyclone Fani victims in Odisha

Bhubaneswar : Cyclone Fani – the strongest tropical cyclone to hit the country in two decades – wreaked havoc in Odisha and claimed at least 34 lives, with several more feared dead. As the state struggles to return to normalcy, Biju Yuva Vahini has stepped forward to help.

BYV volunteers of Gopimohanpur village in Jaleswar block of Balasode district made a donation of Rs 20 Thousand to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the victims of the deadly Cyclone Fani rebuild their lives.

Starting from creating awareness prior to landfall of cyclonic storm ‘FANI’ to distributing food to evacuated persons; and helping in restoration works after the natural calamity wreaked havoc  in coastal districts in Odisha, the Biju Yuva Vahini (BYV) volunteers were  there to help people in their adverse circumstances.

The volunteers have been extending their helping hand to ODRAF and NDRF teams to clear the roads in the aftermath of the cyclone.
