Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar will host an International Art fair named “Bhubaneswar International Art Fair 2018” in the first week of December 2018
Bhubaneswar Art Fair Committee chairman Dr Surya Rath said the proposed art fair would create a close link among art, artists and common people. Paintings, sculptures, installations, video art, photography, literature, social deliberations and art performance would be held under one roof, he said.
Art works of more than 200 artists from across the globe would be in fair. More than 50 galleries for Indian artists and 12 galleries for internal artists would be put up.
As an advance preparation, a painting exhibition COLORS OF THE YEAR is happening in the Subhadra Gallery premises, it will continue till 14th of this month. On Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary January 30 Suvadra Art Gallery is going to showcase best of Odisha , show titled “The Gandhi”. A seminar of Gandhiji’s life would also be held. Preparations have already begun for the purpose, said Gallery director Mr. Ashok Nayak and CEO Sriyakant Patnaik.
