‘Baji The immortal boat boy’ rekindles the indomitable spirit of Odisha at 6th Noida International Film Festival 2019

Bhubaneswar: In a magnificent aura on the red carpet of national capital of India, ‘Baji The immortal boat boy’ managed to bag Best Editing Film Award for 2019 at 6th Noida International Film Festival 2019 presented by Miniboxoffice International on 27th January 2019 in New Delhi.

The award winning film rekindles the indomitable spirit as well as the pride for glory of Odisha. Mr. Kamalakanta Sahoo, Editor of this film portrayed the brave spirit of a child for his motherland through this film, which enchants the story of the youngest martyr of the freedom struggle from Odisha, Baji Rout.

On the other side, Director Mr. Chinmay Das and Producer Mr. Satyabrata Sanu Ratho put forth a splendid effort to revive the pride of Odisha at the world forum and also beckoned the love towards the motherland. Expressed his happiness over such success, Producer Mr. Satyabrat Sanu Ratho greeted his best wishes to the entire film crew. Further to this glory he expressed, “I am happy as the movie Baji has got recognition. My dream to change the way of people think about Odia movies has taken its 1st step. Prelude productions will definitely try to come up with these kinds of movies to motivate upcoming directors and stories.”

It has been noticed here that the movie is being produced by Prelude production and is scripted by Mr. Sumit Panda. The story and screenplay is done by Chinmay Das and the director of Photography is by Soumya Mohanty. Arijeet Mishra portrays the role of Baji Rout along with the other star casts – Pranab Prasanna Rath, Partha Sarathi Ray, Bhaswati Basu, Vikas Choudhary, Nisikant Nayak, Jagannath Rath, Deepanjali Mohanty and Vicky Vijay. The movie has been shot by many spectacular location of Odisha. This movie is of its first kind of Odia film to get recognition at national level cine platform. The movie continues its screening at distinct film festivals all over the country and also such motivational film is being showcased at all the schools throughout Odisha.

Miniboxoffice International Film Festival is now Noida International Film Festival. After having three successful editions of Miniboxoffice International Film Festival which caters mainly for short films only is now turned bigger with the addition of feature films section to it. The NIFF-19 is expected to achieve many milestones towards the development of Independent Cinema. With this it welcomes all filmmakers to come and join the movement which brings highest level of thoughts & culture of different nations in the form of enriching & entertaining cinema.
