Autistic children celebrates 72nd Independence Day

Bhubaneswar: The 72nd Independence Day fever was seen all across the city and Manage Autism Now (MAN) Trust was not far behind. More than 15 autistic kids from the city celebrated Independence Day in their own way showcasing their talents and ability to talk on freedom. They spoke on the country’s freedom struggle and even sang songs and had a fun-filled Independence Day celebration. The event was held in Future Bhubaneswar School(FBC), Bhubaneswar, owned by Sillicon Institute of Technology.

The special children participated in debate competition where they gave talk on the topic of ‘Independence day’. Some of them participated in song competition and sang patriotic songs. A group activity by the children was staged where they attempted to convey message on freedom in their own language.

Smt Swarnalata Misha,Chairman of the Trust shared, “We always bring them in the forefront with an attempt to build their confidence, to remove fear of public gathering, which is the most challenging for these special kids.”
