Bhubaneswar: Anna Hazare is scheduled to address a farmers’ rally to be held by the Navnirman Krushak Sangathan in Jagatsinghpur on November 23.
The rally would be organised to put pressure on the Government to meet the demand to increase paddy price to Rs 2,930 per quintal, informed Navnirman Krushak Sangathan convener Akshaya Kumar here on Thursday.
The protest would be intensified in future if the demands are not met, he added.
Notably, the farmers’ body has been demanding a hike in the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy and pension and prestige for farmers.
Last month, the organisation had held a national convention at Sansad Marg in New Delhi, which was inaugurated by Anna Hazare.
