Adani Foundation Organises Farmer Development Programme in collaboration with BAIF

Dhamara: In order to develop the health condition of livestock so as to increase the livelihood of the farmers who are depending upon the cattle in its periphery Gram Panchayats of Dhamra Port, Adani foundation has undertaken an animal development programme in collaboration with BAIF. The objective of the programme was to provide awareness, capacity building to farmers by focusing on breed development through artificial insemination, fodder development, animal curative measures etc.

In this context, a farmers’ training was organized at Bazarapur village under Karanjmal GP. More than 75 farmers from Karanjmal GP participated in the meeting where they were taught about the awareness about artificial Insemination, higher milking breed, cattle farming management, cattle house management, fodder Development, symptoms of unhealthy animals, identification of common disease in animals, impact of deworming and vaccination etc. A practical demonstration on hygiene practices on animal care was also given to the farmers.

On this occasion Mr. Satish Kumar (Veterinary Officer), Mr. Pankaj Singh (Programme Officer, BAIF) and Mr. Satya Ranjan Mishra (Unit CSR Head, Adani Foundation) were present.
