Abbey West Services Conducts Awareness Drive on Skill Training in 18 Blocks during ‘Ajeevika & Kaushal Vikash Mela’

Bhubaneswar: Abbey West Services the home grown skill development organization has conducted awareness cum mobilisation camps across 18 Blocks of Odisha today to celebrate ‘Ajeevika evam Kausal Vikas Diwas’ as per the instruction of MORD (Ministry of Rural Development) and NSDC (National Skill Development Council), Govt. of India.
As part of the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, the Ajeevika and Kaushal Vikas Mela was celebrated today under the joint initiative of MoRD and MSDE (Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship) at National, State & Block Level. As a part of the program Abbey West Services highlighted various skill development opportunities available to the youth of our state and felicitated successful role models who have now made mark in their fields after undergoing skill training. Abbey West Services conducted these camps at Lathikata, Baliapal, Remuna, Baranga, Bhubana, Bari, Jajapur, Bahalada, Baripada, Bijatala, Bishoi, Gopabandhu Nagar, Kaptipada, Kuliana, Rairangapur, Raruaan, Sarasakana, Sukruli and Udala Block.
Abbey West Services has 11 centers across Odisha. These centers provide training on various domains such as basic electrical, hospitality, finisher & checker, Bed Side Patient Attendant & Industrial sewing machine operator, Beauty Care & wellness etc. Out of 4 years of partnering in skilling rural youth, it has achieved ‘A’ category certification consecutively for last 3 years from ORMAS. In this period it has trained 7000 youths across various programs and more than seventy percent of them are employed in various industries successfully. Recognizing our commitment and effort towards skill development in Odisha, ORMAS has awarded us ‘Best Partner in Action’ at ‘Skilled in Odisha – Way Forward’conclave recently held at New Delhi.
