Bhubaneswar: The State U-13 Chess Championship, kick started at Centurion University of Technology and Management at Jatni on Friday, organised by Jatani Chess Forum under the guidance of All Odisha Chess Association.

All together 80 players including 29 girls are in the titles race. The four-day even would feature nine rounds for boys and seven rounds for girls.

The top two finishers of both the categories would represent the state in the forth-coming National U-13 Championship to be held at Delhi from October 1 to 10.
