Report by Sunil Mohanry, Cuttack : The fourth preparatory meeting for the coming India-Sri Lanka day and night one day match to be held at Barabati stadium in here on 21st December held on Wednesday.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Police Commissioner B K Sharma said that the police has chalked out all the security planning for the match. He said that the spectators have equal responsibility to maintain discipline and enjoy the gentleman’s game with sporting sprit.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday the corporate box of OCA was inaugurated by the Sports Minister. The Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Ashok Meena said the state government will extend all help to Odisha Cricket Association. It will take special care for the spectators. Earlier, the twin city Commissionerate Police of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar had a meeting that they will look after the security of the teams and match officials from their arrival to departure on November 6.
As this event is a prestigious affair for the state the RDC and collector of Cuttack conducted a meeting on November 9. Minister of Sports and Youth Services Prabin Kumar Bhanjadeo is personally looking after the preparation work and he assured that State Government will extend all cooperation for this day and night match. There will be no presentation of the Odissi dance during the match . He hoped that with the state government officials are extending all cooperation, this event will be a grand success.
