Report by Bhaskar Pradhan; Bhubaneswar: The biography of Legendary late Smt.Nandini Satpathy authored by noted odia writer Ashisa Ranjan Mohapatra was today unveiled by noted socio-political leader and Chairman of SNSMT Shri. Suparno Satpathy. The book launch took place in a packed house function at Soochana Bhawan. The grand event was named  'the prelude to Nandini Diwas '12'. The event witnessed the presence of several who's who of Odisha in the audience.

On the occasion veteran congress leader, ex union cabinet minister and sitting MP (Rajya Sabha) Shri. Mani Shankar Aiyar delivered the 6th Smt. Nandini Satpathy Memorial Lecture. Several aspects of the personality, doings on national/international socio-political arena and greatness of legendary Late Smt. Nandini Satpathy were highlighted by him in the lecture. He emphasized on more women in politics.

On the occasion ace journalist and the editor of leading Odia daily newspaper Samaj graced the occasion as the guest of honor. He spoke about his experience in working with Late Smt.Satpathy while he was working in Dharitri.

The vote of thanks was given by Shri. Ashisa Ranjan Mohapatra. The event was compared  by Smt. Sarita Chopra Cakrabarti.

Keeping up with the tradition of the last six years, this years too 'Nandini Puraskar' was presented to two women leaders, Smt. Rutuparna Mohanty for excellence in social work and to Ms. Swati Kejriwal for excellence in business.
