Report by Orissadiary correspondent; Berhampur: National Research Development Corporation is going to organize a regional Seminar , on "Intellectual Property and Innovation Management in Knowledge Era" in 5th &6th March 2009 at Berhampur University, Bhanja Vihar, Berhampur.
The National Research and Development Corporation- NRDC, is a leading national level organization with Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India engaging profitably in all activities germane to enabling new technologies to transit smoothly from their source points, through the corporate world into global commerce. And, It is felt that
in this knowledge era the need geared us to embrace and shared the knowledge generated at various universities, industries and academics have to organize this important Seminar.
This Seminar will outline a number of issues relating to the protection, the prior art searching techniques for establishing the novelty of invention, the various avenues for protecting inventions in abroad. IP issues in technology transfer and its impact on R&D work and business will also be discussed keeping in view the new patent legislation thereby helping inventors, researchers, business managers, R&D institutes/ laboratories, universities and SMEs by providing first hand insight on various policy change initiated recently. Scientific Officer-C Bijay K. Sahu of NRDC says the Seminar  will be the best place for understading on IPRs issues in current WTO regime.
