Bhadrak: In a programme held at Dhamra Port premises, Ashalata Mohanty, Social Welfare Officer, Bhadrak District has given more emphasis on the role of Anganwadi workers for a healthy society. She also focused on how social workers ‘Sangini’ who are part of the nutritional programme ‘Suposhan’ of Adani Foundation, will assist Agnawadi and ASHA workers of each village to bring improvement in malnutrition and nutritional status of living in the peripheral area of Adani Dhamra port.
Attending the programme Mr Manoj Patra, BDO, Chandbali focused on how to reduce Maternal and Child Mortality Ratio and highlighted different programmes of the Government and also praised the Adani-Dhamra port for its support.
The distribution of the filters to 44 Anganwadi Centres in 33 villages has been facilitated in this event and this distribution will be benefitted for more than 3000 children.
Mr Pravat Kumar Mishra, CSR Head of Dhamra port, shared that Government and Adani Foundation will take more such developmental steps. Mr Subhasish Mishra, Deputy Manager CSR shared about the various steps taken by company in the field of education, health, rural infrastructure development to the employees and audience.
It may be noted here that there are various social welfare programmes have been conducted under the CSR.
