Autonomy in the form of AIIMS New Delhi apart, Burla residents have demanded exemplary action against the doctors who remain absent for months together and also against those government officials in the health department who encourage such practices. These doctors neglecting their prime jobs for which they are paid for attend nursing homes at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Berhampur, the letter said.
