Rourkela: The Government Railway Police (GRP), Rourkela on Thursday recovered the body of Bisra Tehsildar Laxman Oram from a railway track near Birajapalli. There were multiple injuries on the body and the left leg was found detached.
After sending the body for postmortem, the police have started investigation into the matter.
The GRP also recovered some papers from his pocket along with one identity card, which identified him as Laxman Oram (53). He was posted as Tehsildar, Bisra in Sundargarh district.
Oram is survived by his wife and two children. Senior administrative officials like Panposh Sub-Collector Prakash Behera and Rourkela Municipality Durga Prasad Mohapatra rushed to the spot after hearing the tragic news.
