National Entrepreneurship Network and Trident Organise Entrepreneurship Educator Programme
Tuesday, December 27, 2016
Bhubaneswar: National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) of Wadhwani Foundation and Trident Academy of Technology organized a three days Entrepreneurship Educator Program for faculty and educators recently.

The goal of this program was to orient teachers and professors to build a creative space and platform for discovery; both self-discovery and opportunity discovery for students. The training was organised so that participating faculty members will have the ideas, tools, support and network to enable them to guide students to discover their strengths in terms of an entrepreneurial founding team and learn key techniques such as opportunity discovery, prototyping, competition analysis and early customer insights.

The three day intensive training has made faculty members confident and they believe that will be able to direct and assist students in online and campus activities such as idea competitions and workshops.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. R N Satpathy, ED, Trident Group of Institutions, Dr. S K Kar, Head, Consultancy Quality, Corporate Training, Central Tool Room Training Centre, Ministry of MSME and Mr. Barada Prasad, Regional Manager, NEN.

Dr. Kar motivated the participants and shared about the support system of CTTC for development of Entrepreneurship. Dr. Satpathy shared about the importance of Entrepreneurship development at the current context.

Mr. Barada Prasad shared about the support system of National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) for the aspiring and budding student entrepreneurs. Mr. Barada also shared the importance of idea validation through a scientific process before starting any venture. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Diptimayee Sahoo, Assistant Professor at Trident. Participants highly appreciated the initiatives of NEN and thanked Mr. Barada Prasad for spearheading the entrepreneurship movement in Odisha.
