Report Kahnu Nanda: Jagatsinghpur: One Arabinda Mallick [35] alias Pintu a dreaded criminal had been lodged in Alipingal sub jail six km away from here was died in headquarters hospital here on Friday night.

Jail authorities revealed that Pintu was residing in jail as under trail, on Friday evening he got injured while jumping a pillar adjoining to latrine and immediately shifted to district headquarters hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Pintu was picked up in a Dacoit case held in Raghunathpur police limits in 26 June 2011 hence was residing in Alipingala Sub jail and as many as 15 criminal cases were pending against in him different police stations in Jagatsinghpur , Kendrapada, Puri and Cuttack districts and he was hailing from Bhagabanpur village under Marasaghai police area in Kendrapada district.
