Report by OrissaDiary.com correspondent; Athgarh: BJD leader and former Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain (Raja Swain) visits flood affected areas of Athgarh and Tigiria on Saturday and Sunday.

It should be noted that devastated flood has played havoc in the areas of Athgarh and Tigiria. As Mr. Ranendra Pratap Swain popularly known as Raja Bhai had promised to the people of Athgarh constituency that he will be there with them throughout his life whether he may remain as an M.L.A or not, during this crisis he has kept his promise and has indulged himself  in taking all the pains to see a smile on the face of people of Athgarh. He visited almost all the flood affected villages of Athgarah & Tigiria Block and didn’t forget to provide food, cloth and shelter to people of the flood affected areas, As Athgarh is the middle of Cuttack district and  part of neighbor  flood affected areas of Banki and Baramba-Nersinghpur Constituencies, has got the glimpse of  Raja Swain help during this crisis.

The flooded areas of Tigiria Block are Badabauput, (Keutapatana ,Bandal  of Banki ), Sanpur, Gadadharpur, Chasaganra, Paikganra & Bindhanima.( Jodomu, Bangershinga, Manpur,Haritha,Gobindpur of Baramba )which are fully depend on cultivation for their daily hand to mouth. All those areas are by the side by of River Mahanadi, are vastly affected in this current flood.

The flood has occurred in the areas of Kakhadi, Sarpeswar, Katkia Sahi, Megha, Rajnagar, Kandarpur, Bentapada, Mancheswar, Chhagaon Dhabaleswar) and Dhurusia of the Athagarh locality.
