SISIRA SARAS is a unique fair sponsored by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, where rural artisans / SHG/ PG/ rural producers are focused to display and to sale their handmade rural products on a single platform. SISIR SARAS has been very popular and urban consumers wait for it for the whole year to purchase products of their choice available at one platform.
SARAS exhibitions are always the top priority of the participants. Besides, Orissa Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), has been organizing exhibitions under the banner of "SARAS", in order to provide platform to the rural producers to showcase their products for direct sale., interact & get taste. choice. preferences of urban consumers and also to find out trade link.
This Year the programme has been kicked off from 5th Jan 2017 and it will last till Rural producers and artisans from twenty Five states from India as 15th Jan 2017. well as 30 districts from Odisha are assembled here in Nationalized rural fair to display and sale the handmade rural treasures. A total of 290 stalls are also installed and handed over to 678 participants from different corners of India to display the rural treasures.
In this Fair ., the urban Mass could enjoy exclusive products like, Paper Mache products from Pondicherry, Wrought Iron from UP, Tasar of Chhattisgarh, cane & Bamboo works of Assam& Tripura and many more from various states of India. Through this Fair, the Organizer is expecting by various participants to earn a revenue of 12.00 crore.
