Bhubaneswar: In response to the request made by the state BJP president Jual Oram to the party national president Nitin Gadkari at the party’s recent national executive meeting, to send a high-level team to the flood-hit areas of Odisha, a team led by the deputy leader of Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde visited Odisha.
The team later suggested Gadkari to make necessary arrangement to send relief materials for the flood-hit victims.
Following the suggestion, a consignment of relief items sent by the Gujarat BJP unit arrived at the party’s state headquarters office in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Oram has asked the party presidents of the flood-hit districts to ensure proper distribution of relief materials among the flood-hit people.
