VHP’s Pravin Togadia detains in Orissa on way to Kandhamal district

Report by Dipti Ranjan Kanungo; Bhubaneswar: The International General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Dr Pavin Bhai Togadia has been detained by the Police at Charichhak prior to enter to the Kandhamal district in the late night of Friday. After addressing a General meeting at Bargarh, he was in the way to Kandhamal district. The District administration of Kandhamal detained him at Charichhak. Now he has staged a Dharana at Charchhak with his VHP activists. The district administration is persuading him not to proceed Kandhamal district.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has called Kandhamal district Bandh on Saturday on protesting the illegal detention of the district administration to his Kandhamal visit . The state unit of the BJP is supporting the Kandhamal Bandh on Saturday. But it will not affect the Matriculation Examination. Togadia is still in Dharana at Charichhak.
