Report by Orissadiary correspondent; Bhubaneswar (Odisha): IT giant Infosys to launch its 2nd project in Orissa soon with investment of Rs 300 crore. This was announced by Infosys' Human Resources and Expansion Development Director Mohandas Pai on Tuesday. He informed the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik that company would open its second campus in the newly upcoming Info-city on Bhubaneswar- Khurda road.
During the meeting with Patnaik at the State Secretariat, Pai also informed that around 5,000 people will be recruited in the new campus. Now 3,000 people are working in its existing campus at Chandrasekharpur. He also informed that Infosys is now exporting software to the tune of Rs 850 crore from its Bhubaneswar centre. Unveiling its plan for the State, Pai said the under the aegis of ISKCON, it would expand its Akshya Patra scheme in which poor children are being provided with the mid-day meal scheme. Nearly 61,000 children are getting benefit under the scheme.
