Report by Dipti Ranjan Kanungo; Bhubaneswar: Opposition members disrupts the normal proceedings of the Orissa Assembly over farmers suicide issue. The house began at 10am. The speaker Pradip Kumar Amata started Question Answer  and called Higher Education Minister Debi Pradas Mishra to reply the Question of legislature Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chau Patnaik. Mean While the leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh raises the question on proposed to mourn assembly for the farmers suicide. The Speaker refused it as there is no past history of the house .The speaker expressed to continue the Question and Answer and he will look to the matter. But the Congress legislators  rushed towards the Speaker’s podium shouting anti-government slogans.

The speaker wanted the members to raise the matter only after question hour was over, but the opposition legislators were in no mood to oblige and did not allow the speaker to conduct normal business.

The speaker initially adjourned the proceedings of the house for one hour, but had to do so repeatedly when the chaos in the house continued. The Deputy Speaker Lalbehari Himrika adjourned the house from 1pm to 5pm.
