Odisha: Miscreants Broke Into Shop and Looted Mobile Handset worth Rs. 10 Lakhs

Report by Mohammad Sazid Hussain, Berhampur: A gang of robbers broke down shutter and made off with Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets worth Rs 10 lakhs from a Mobile phone retail shop at Sai complex, Gandhi Nagar in the heart of Berhampur town on late Saturday night under Town Thana police limit.

According to E. Arunachalam the owner of Raj trader, the robbery came to light on next morning at about 9 a.m. when he had came to open the shop and found the front shutter have been broken down. He immediately informs the police. Later police came and registered a case and also started an investigation in this matter.

However rise in shoplifting and chain snatching in the silk city has spared panic among the businessmen and intellectual mass.
