Paradeep: IFFCO Paradeep Unit celebrated 48th National Safety Week. A week long programmes were conducted on this occasion. Demonstration of fire & safety equipment’s like use of Fire extinguishers, Breathing Apparatus set were conducted in different departments to aware employees and contractor workers. Safety talks were delivered by the sectional heads of different departments. In this week Demonstration of fire & safety equipment’s like use of Fire extinguishers, Breathing Apparatus set was carried out in nearby adopted safety buddies (ABInBev, Paradeep). A Safety Chariot (Surkshya Rath) was moved from place to place of nearby villages and schools to create awareness among the public for what to do in Emergencies like various toxic gases ( Ammonia, Chlorine) leakages and leaflets regarding this were distributed to them. Various competitions like painting, essay, safety quiz, slogans were conducted for employees, contract workers, students and dependent ladies etc.
On the concluding day on 11th March 2019 of 48th National Safety Week Chief guest Dr. Malay Pradhan, Dy.Director of Factories & Boilers (Safety) and special invitee Sri Chandrakant Dalai, Assistant Director of Factories & Boilers Paradeep Zone graced the occasion and gave their valuable speeches regarding safety awareness.
Sri K.J. Patel, Unit Head of IFFCO Paradeep Unit also addressed the gathering. The chief guest distributed prizes to winners of the various competitions. They also expressed that IFFCO has successively celebrated 48th National Safety Week. All the senior officials along with Sri C. Santosh, GM (Tech.), Sri J.P.Srivastava, JGM (E&S), Sh A.K.Malla,D.G.M(P&A),Sh G.C.Acharya,D.G.M(HR) Sri S.K.Kamble, Manager (Fire & Safety) & Sh Prasanna Kumar Beura, Public Relation Officer were present on this occasion.
