Report by Badal Tah; Rayagada: The 27th Chapter Convention on Quality Circles, Koraput Chapter was organized by JK Paper Mills on Tuesday and culminating on Wednesday at SC Jain Memorial Hall, Jaykaypur. The theme of the convention was “Igniting Minds for Innovation through Quality Concepts”.
More than 30 Quality Circles/Allied Circles teams from JK Paper Mills, Jaykaypur; NALCO, Damanjodi; HAL, Sunabeda; Vedanta, Lanjigarh; Hoffincons, Jaykaypur; Fimakem India Ltd. along with delegates from Utkal Aluminum, Tikri; GIET Gunupur,etc. participated & presented their case studies.
The convention was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Mayank Jindal, Chief General Manager, JK Paper Mills- Rayagada. Guest of Honour in the event was Mr. Jitendra Mohan Sahu, GM, Sukoi Eng. Div. HAL, Sunabeda. Mr. Ram Shankar Das, Secretary, QCFI-Bhubaneswar Chapter was the Chief Speaker and Mr. Dibyendu Basu, Chief Manager (HRD) joined as the Convener of the Koraput Chapter.
The valedictory function of the convention was graced by Mr. D.K.Mohanty, ED-NALCO, Damanjodi as the Chief Guest. Mr. Phillips Campbell, Director Technical, Vedanta Ltd. Participated as Guest of Honour & Mr. Biswajeet Dwivedi, Vice President (Commercial), JKPM deliberated as the Guest of Honour. The prize for the Best team was given to Team BIJLEE of JKPM, Rayagada.
