16 wagons of goods train derail near Nergundi station in Odisha, several passenger trains cancelled

Cuttack: At least 16 wagons of a goods train have been derailed near Nergundi station in Odisha today. The incident occurred in the wee hours following which rail traffic on the route was disrupted. No loss of life has been reported so far.

The incident has led to cancellation of several passenger trains. A few trains have also been diverted due to the derailment, said East Coast Railways officials.

Trains those were cancelled- 58407 Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar Passenger, 58411 Bhubaneswar-Berhampur Passenger and 58412 Berhampur-Bhubaneswar Passenger, 58424 and 58436 Cuttack-Bhadrak Passenger, 58423 and 58435 Bhadrak-Cuttack Passenger.

The diverted trains are- 22811 Rajdhani Express will be diverted via Barang/Kapilas Road bypassing Cuttack, 18451 Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express diverted via Naraj and 07182 Secunderabad-Howrah Special diverted via Naraj.
